Welcome to the Fit 2007 Web site, your introduction to both a healthier, happier way of life that takes only a few minutes a day and is a gateway to meeting other enthusiastic people who share your goals.

Over 1,800 people have already enrolled in Fit 2007 this summer, 1,800 people who recognize that fitness is more than working out and watching your diet. They know that it's also a state of mind and body that goes a long way toward helping you avoid many of our most common health problems and to enjoy a feeling of wellbeing that lifts every aspect of your life.

Fitness helps provide the strength and stamina to get through the challenges of your day. You will be sick less often and will heal faster when you are ill or injured. You greatly increase the odds of a longer life. And not only will you virtually ensure that every day is a little better and a little brighter, but you will also be better able to achieve more of your dreams.

The choice is yours. The good part is that it's not difficult!

Consider this, from Dr. James Levine, a Mayo Clinic expert on obesity writing in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings. "Getting out there and taking a walk is what it's all about. You don't have to join a gym, you don't have to check your pulse. You just have to switch off the TV, get off the sofa and go for a walk."

Fit 2007 is designed as a way to encourage and support your personal search for greater fitness, not just this summer but for the rest of your life. All you have to do is choose the exercise or exercises that fit your life and lifestyle and set yourself a goal exercising regularly. The choice of exercise is up to you and may be something as simple as that daily walk. Or it may be a combination of two or more workouts -- swimming, jogging, walking, cycling, or even chopping wood. Design your plan to include at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, 5 days a week.

On this site, you will find hints, tips, and tools to help you along the path to a more vigorous, energetic you. Look over what we have to offer and let us know what you think.

Begin by registering for the program. Then adopt an exercise routine and use our system to keep track of your progress. Talk with others in our community who are on a similar path. And join us as we all have fun together lifting not just our own level of fitness but that of the entire community.
